Fannie remembered coming to America around 1903. Despite being only four, she remembered being on the boat for three weeks.

She came with her mom and siblings; Eddie, Sam, Jack and Morris on a boat to join Isaac, who was already there.

She said salt and pepper shakers hung from wire baskets strung from the ceiling. She didn’t remember what she ate but remembered sleeping on a cot.

She said that when she arrived in America there was nowhere for her to sleep so she slept on two chairs put together at her grandparents house in Kensington and cried herself to sleep."

Fannie and the Arts

Selma (Fanny), daughter of Annie & Isaac, not only excelled at playing the piano but was a talented painter. Here are just a few of her works of art. I treasure them. I know many Ginsburgs are also very artistic.
