Sylvia's Memories

"I am Sylvia, the oldest daughter of Renee & Irv Goldstein. My memories go back to visiting Zaddas shoe repair shop across from an elementary school.

Zadda would walk to my house for my mom to pay his bills.

Let the Birds Fly

Aunt Beverly was one of the three children of Renee and Irv. And yes they did have a bird who got to fly freely around the house. He would sit on my grandfathers shoulder and my grandfather would feed him corn on the cob until one day. My grandmother couldn’t find the bird, until she took the towels out of the dryer to start folding. There he was, fluffier than normal, but dead.
