Free Lunch for Ed
"After grandmom, Ida died, grandpop, Ed would take the free bus to Atlantic City, get the free lunch voucher, sell it and be the last the leave so he could pick up anything left behind. The casinos were just opening and this was a promotion for many years. He sometimes did this a couple times a day. I remember getting broken umbrellas.
He never gambled. Just took the next bus back home. He was unique!!"
Vision
"My great grandpop Ed (I called him grandpop Ed) passed when I was a senior in high school. I have so many fun and fond memories of him, but what stands out are the gifts he would give me. I recall he would take the bus to Atlantic City and when he returned, he would give me a watch, or other trinket. I was so excited and treasured them! My mom, Shelley Ginsberg Maher can confirm, but I think he found them on the bus! Regardless, I loved it and am so very thankful I have memories of him."

A Gardening Tip
"One day he gave me a Toro Weed Whacker. I asked him where he got it and he said to me “it was on display outside of Sears; if they wanted it they wouldn’t have left it outside.” I used that weed whacker for many years. lol"

Pennies for Everyone
"I remember when i was a little kid, he would always give me a pocket full of pennies"
